Romeo Pier

El Granada, CA

Silverado performed all required hazardous material testing and abatement responsibilities for the pier building and structures, including the hazardous material survey and asbestos and lead abatement.

Silverado assisted Dutra in the demolition of the building by collapsing the building onto itself in preparation for Dutra to clam the debris onto a barge. Once the building was collapsed, the piers’ treated wood deck, stringers, and piles were removed and loaded onto the barge. The debris was transported to Silverado’s Pier 96 yard in San Francisco, CA, where it was processed and disposed of at an authorized landfill. Silverado also recycled roughly 1,500 tires that were used as fenders on the pier.
