The Macy’s Store is located in Union Square and by some considered a landmark in San Francisco. The building location is situated in a heavily congested populated area with pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The project site is located in close proximity to existing office and retail buildings.
The seven-story retail building had dimensions of approximately 255’ by 137,’ and approximate area of 31,000 square feet per floor. The building had a full basement. The project consisted of major alterations of the building and included the replacement of the exterior wall and the addition of rooftop amenity space.
