LA Parker Center
Los Angeles, CA
The Parker Center was an 8-story poured-in-place concrete structure, totaling approximately 350,000 square feet. The tower structure housed LAPD administrative and command staff, laboratories, investigative divisions, and personnel support. The low-rise structures (podiums) consisted of an Administration Annex wing and 3-story jail wings. The project was located in between two active city facilities, LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center to the north and Metropolitan Dispatch Center (911) to the south. Other major components of this project include shoring, mass excavation, and utility installation/relocation for future site needs. Project involves working adjacent to sensitive receptors such as LA City's 911 call and detention centers. Silverado worked closely with the City of Los Angeles project team throughout the performance of this project. Innovation and close communication led to the project being substantially complete two months ahead of schedule and under budget.
