Silverado Contractors was contracted to abate and demolish the former 164,000 SF 7-Story office tower, 3-Story Annex Building and site work. The project was located on the busy Hegenberger Road corridor next to I-880.
The scope of work entailed the removal and disposal of all hazardous waste materials and universal waste, complete demolition of a 7-Story steel framed office tower, a 3-Story Annex Building, Mail Room, and Cash Vault, as well as site removal including all asphalt paving.
The demolition work was performed utilizing a combination of a floor-by-floor demolition technique and a mass building demolition process to ensure that all demolition debris was contained within the project limits and safely removed to the ground level.
Silverado performed demolition work within an active transportation corridor in close proximity of the BART Oakland Airport Connector tramway, adjacent to a school and other neighboring operations. Silverado ensured the safety of surrounding vehicular traffic, pedestrians, and nearby buildings to minimize inconvenience during our demolition operations.
